Who we are
BloomKin People provides recruitment and HR services. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@bloomkin.team.
Our BloomKin HR software has its own privacy policy, which applies to companies and employees who use the app.
If you are a candidate
What we collect. Depending on how we work together, this may include:
- your name, email address, phone number and location;
- your CV, work history, qualifications, skills and LinkedIn profile;
- your current and expected salary, notice period and the roles you are interested in;
- notes from our conversations and interviews, and feedback from clients;
- references, and right-to-work or visa details when a client needs them for an offer.
Where it comes from. Mostly from you. We may also find your details on professional networks such as LinkedIn, on job boards, or through someone who recommends you. If we contact you this way, we will tell you how we found you.
How we use it.
- to find and discuss roles that may suit you;
- to introduce you to clients, only with your agreement for each role;
- to arrange interviews, collect feedback and help with offers;
- to keep in touch about future opportunities, which you can ask us to stop at any time.
We never charge candidates a fee for finding them work.
If you are a client or hiring manager
We keep the business contact details of people we work with at client companies (name, job title, work email and phone), along with details of the roles we are recruiting for and our correspondence. We use this to run searches, introduce candidates, invoice and keep in touch about our services. You can ask us to stop sending updates at any time.
If you contact us through this website
When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us (company, phone number and your message). We use it to reply to you and, if you are hiring or looking for a role, to follow up as described above.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your device's IP address when the page loads.
Why we are allowed to use it
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, we rely on:
- legitimate interests: running a recruitment business, matching candidates to roles and keeping in touch with clients, balanced against your rights;
- your consent: before we send your CV to a client, and for anything else we ask you to agree to;
- contract: to deliver the services a client has engaged us for;
- legal obligations: for example keeping invoices and records, or helping a client meet right-to-work rules.
International transfers
We work across the UAE and the UK, so your information may be held or accessed in either country, and our service providers may store it in other countries too. When information leaves the UK or the UAE, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual terms offered by our providers.
How long we keep it
- Candidates: up to 2 years after we were last in touch, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If you are placed, we keep the details needed for our records and the guarantee period.
- Clients: for as long as we work together, then up to 2 years. Invoices and financial records are kept for as long as the law requires.
- Website enquiries that do not lead to any work: up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, or stop or limit how we use it;
- stop contacting you about roles or our services;
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
Email hello@bloomkin.team and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the UAE Data Office. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Keeping it safe
We keep personal information in secure, access-controlled business systems, limit who can see it, and only share it in the ways described above.
